3 Years as a Chiropractor in Wheat Ridge, CO: What We've Learned

This fall marks three years of Vertically Sourced serving Wheat Ridge, Golden, Arvada, Lakewood, Louisville, and the greater Denver metro area — and it felt like a good moment to pause and reflect, not just on the practice, but on what three years of nervous-system-centered care has actually taught us.

Why Vertically Sourced Started With a Different Question

Most chiropractic care starts with the question, "what hurts?" From the beginning, care at Vertically Sourced has started somewhere different: "what is your nervous system carrying, and how can we support it?" That shift in starting point changes everything downstream — not just how care is delivered, but who it tends to help most.

Over three years, that's meant working with pregnant women preparing for birth, women trying to conceive and navigating the emotional weight of that season, postpartum mothers recovering from birth, and women simply looking for a more regulated, connected relationship with their own bodies.

What Three Years of Webster Technique and Network Spinal Care Has Shown Us

Two approaches have anchored care from the beginning: Webster Technique, a specific protocol supporting pelvic and sacral alignment, most relevant during preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery; and Network Spinal, a gentle, nervous-system-focused approach relevant at every stage of life.

What we've learned, consistently, is that structure and nervous system regulation aren't separate conversations — they're deeply connected. A body under physical strain often carries more nervous system tension, and a nervous system stuck in a chronic, alert state often holds more physical tension in return. Supporting both together, rather than treating them as unrelated, has been at the heart of care here from day one.

What We Won't Do, and Why That Matters

Three years in, we're more convinced than ever that honesty matters more than big promises. We won't tell you chiropractic care balances your hormones, guarantees a specific birth outcome, or fixes something that requires medical evaluation. What we will do is offer gentle, individualized care focused on what we can actually support — your nervous system's capacity to regulate and recover — and coordinate with your medical care rather than compete with it.

That approach hasn't always been the loudest one in the room. It has, consistently, been the most honest one — and we believe that matters more over time than it might in a single visit.

What's Changing as We Grow

As Vertically Sourced grows into its fourth year, a few things are evolving alongside it. Starting September 1, regular visit rates are shifting for the first time since opening — a natural part of sustaining this work long-term, while continuing to show up fully for the practice members who make it what it is.

We're also introducing the NeuralChek, a nervous system, heart health, and overall wellness scan that will give practice members a clearer window into what's happening in their bodies and make it easier to track progress over time.

What Hasn't Changed

Through all of that, a few things remain exactly the same: care built on honesty rather than urgency, a refusal to promise outcomes we can't guarantee, and a genuine belief that people deserve to understand their own bodies, not just be told what to do with them.

Practical Ways to Support Your Own Nervous System, Wherever You're Starting

Whether or not you've ever been a practice member here, a few grounded habits support nervous system health for anyone:

1. Build small moments of rest into your day, not just occasional big ones.

2. Practice naming what you're feeling, physically and emotionally, without needing to fix it right away.

3. Move consistently, rather than intensely and inconsistently.

4. Protect your sleep and wake times, even on weekends, as much as life allows.

5. Notice patterns over time, rather than judging any single day in isolation.
